Palkesh Kalma, a mechanical engineer by profession believes in breaking the monotony and aspires to summit the highest peak in the world, The Everest. He hails from Ahmedabad and works at ONGC. Despite strenuous training, he suffered a setback when he couldn’t trace his name in the final list for the Everest back in 2017. But that didn’t stop him. He continues to follow his dream and since then, he’s done his expeditions to Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri and is now on his way to summit Annapurna without Oxygen. He says, “One can’t be dependent on others to make their own dreams come true”.

Well, Manju Devi’s inspiring story fits the bill perfectly for this idiom as she continues to break various typecasts being the sole woman among 176 male coolies on the Jaipur Railway Station. She candidly shares how she obtained Porter’s license from her late husband & who was a coolie too and how she thinks there’s nothing that a woman can’t do, despite facing hardships. For her, no work is big or small as she stands there, proud, being the President of the Jaipur Coolie Association.

As the Captain of Indian Wheelchair Cricket Team and a National Para swimmer, he’s breaking the bounds and doing everything possible to keep his passion alive. He believes it's important to make India ‘more accessible’ for people with disabilities and wishes to play for Team India yet again in the near future and to continue his love for adventure sports.
